Data Processing
Your technical data is automatically collected by our IT systems when you access our website. We do not transfer this data without your consent.
We obtain personal data (first name, last name, and email address) when you use our contact form or register for CPD events via email. This data will be retained only for as long as it takes to process your inquiry and no longer than 6 months beyond the point of collection.
As a member of the professional association UNIVERSITAS Austria, you can agree to the processing of your personal data by giving written consent. We process your data in the context of our association’s activities, when we send you our member magazine or when you are found by potential clients via our member search.
Communication Channels
The professional association UNIVERSITAS Austria keeps its members informed about current topics relating to the translation and interpreting profession. In order to do so, we use social media (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.) as well as our UNIVERSITAS blog. These communication channels can be accessed through our website and no personal data is collected during this process.
Login to the Members-Only Area
Upon admission to the association, every member automatically gains access to the members-only area of our website, which requires the processing of personal data retrieved from your application form. Data is processed in accordance with the GDPR and relies on your consent. The data collected will be retained for as long as you remain a member of our association. Thereafter, the application form will be disposed of. Your data will be archived electronically in our database based on legitimate interests.
Your Rights of Access, Rectification, Restriction, Erasure and Objection
You have the right to request access to your personal data we have stored and/or to request that it be rectified, restricted or erased free of charge. Exceptions: Legally required data storage for business purposes or data subject to the legal obligation to archive records (e.g. under tax law).
